The 5th Annual Full Bloom Festival, sponsored by Soulflower Yoga and Wellness, happens on Sunday, June 29 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Cushman Park in Fairhaven.

Organizers Samantha Dungca and Alexis Costa operate Soulflower Yoga. They stopped by Townsquare Sunday to share plans for the Full Bloom event, which they are calling a summer arts festival.

"This will probably be our biggest festival yet," Dungca said. "We have a full lineup, so we extended the hours until 8 p.m."

The Full Bloom Festival will include yoga demonstrations, live music, food trucks, arts and craft vendors, pony rides, bounce houses and more. Admission is free.

"We even have an infant and toddler area this year," Costa said. "You can bring them along and they can have fun at the park."

The festival's charity partner this year is Gifts to Give in New Bedford. Those attending the festival are urged to drop off gently-used clothing at the Gifts to Give trailer at Cushman Park on the 29th.

For the first time, the Full Bloom Festival has obtained a liquor license from the Town of Fairhaven, so beer and wine will be available this year.

Also new this year is a pickleball tournament, with a cash prize for the winner. Proceeds from the tournament will go to Gifts to Give. You can register at on the Soulflower website to take part.

"This whole thing started as a way to give back to the community, and spotlight small local businesses," Dungca said. "It's important to us that almost everything remains free, we have a lot of volunteers that give their time, and a lot of nonprofits come and share their information. We definitely want people to build community around this day."
