Edaville Family Theme Park Reopening for Christmas Festival of Lights 2021
The amusement park has been closed since before the COVID-19 pandemic started.
Edaville Family Theme Park has been around for more than 75 years. Originally scheduled to mark the 75th birthday in 2020 with the opening of a brand-new splash pad, the COVID-19 pandemic put that celebration on hold. Families near and far waited, some more patiently than others, for the announcement that the theme park would open again for wholesome family fun. The amusement park published a statement on Tuesday, September 14 that an opening date has been announced.
Opening Date
Edaville Family Theme Park has announced that Edaville will be open from Thursday through Sunday for the Christmas Festival of Lights starting on Saturday, November 13th. This is the first time that the park will be open to the public since January of 2020.
The park announced back in May of 2021 that although it fell under Phase Four of Governor Baker’s reopening plan, it requires a minimum of 60 days to prepare for reopening and would need more time to stock the restaurants, reinspect rides, hire and train employees and everything else that makes Edaville a wonderful experience for children and families. The plan was to reopen in time for the Festival of Lights and not rush to reopen for the summer season.

Pre-Purchased Tickets
On a separate post from the theme park, Edaville states that pre-purchased tickets will be honored in 2021.
“We will be doing reservations except for the guests with pre-purchased tickets,” the post states. “They will be able to come anytime as we have internally worked out the details for this.”
A Few Details
In anticipation of the questions that will arise with this announcement, Edaville writes the following policies for guests. Masks will be required along with temperature checks. No outside food will be allowed. More details will follow as soon as they are finalized.
