Early Morning Basement Fire In New Bedford

New Bedford Fire officials are investigating after an early morning basement fire.

A fire department dispatcher tells WBSM news the fire took place at 16 McGurk St. around 2:32 a.m. Friday

Crews were able to contain the fire to the basement.

However, three families were displaced.

There is no word on any injuries or damage at this time.
