After being called to put out a fire at an apartment house on Tuesday, Fall River fire fighters had another task. The tenants of the building escaped unharmed, but a dog was pulled from the home and was unconscious.

Using a special mask made for animals, EMS gave the dog oxygen and were able to get the Pit Bull breathing again. WJAR reports that a second dog died in the fire at the on the 3rd floor apartment.

The blaze broke out at around 11 a.m. on Tuesday at East Main and Peckham Streets. The fire was under control in about 30 minutes. It's reported that around 10 people, including a baby, were displaced by that fire.

There's no word on whether the dog, named "Stampy," required further medical attention.
