DA’s Office Says Human Body Found By New Bedford Fishermen

The Cape and Islands District Attorney's Office has confirmed that a body was pulled from the waters off Provincetown.

Assistant District Attorney Tara L. Miltimore says the fishing vessel Hera, which is based out of New Bedford, found the body in its fishing gear early Thursday morning.

Miltimore says the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has accepted jurisdiction.

The body has not yet been identified and the incident remains under investigation.
