The Dartmouth School Committee on Monday voted 4-1 in favor of a phased reopening for the town’s schools that will see the school year begin with remote learning.

Dartmouth Week reports that the school year will begin remotely on September 15 but could possibly move to a hybrid plan later in the year.

The schools will reopen in a four-phase plan, with teachers reporting August 31 to be instructed in remote technology, and then they will begin teaching remotely from classrooms on September 15.

The hybrid plan, if implemented later, would see students divided into two groups attending on alternate days.
