Dartmouth Baker Creates Sourdough Flights That Rival Wine Tastings
Forget beer flights. There’s something tastier in the oven.
Dartmouth’s Divine Dough Bakery is serving up something a little doughier. Owner and self-taught baker Amanda Alcaidinho who runs 3GenLove in Westport has turned the humble loaf into a tasting experience with her Sourdough Flights, a box of four mini loaves that mix savory and sweet flavors.
“It started as a fun idea while I was at the Tiverton Farmers Market,” Alcaidinho said. “They were hosting it at Sakonnet Vineyard, so I thought, why not do sourdough flights to go with the wine flights?”
From Hobby to Full-Blown Hustle
What began as a side project quickly took off. Licensed earlier this year, Divine Dough Bakery has grown from a small home operation into one of Dartmouth’s most talked-about porch stands.
“It was supposed to be a side hustle, but it’s taken off pretty quickly,” Alcaidinho said. “Now it’s kind of a full-blown hobby.”

When she’s not attending farmers markets or craft fairs, Alcaidinho sells directly from her porch stand at 322 Russells Mills Road in Dartmouth, offering pre-orders and weekend pickups.
A Flight for Every Craving
Each sourdough flight features four different mini loaves, often rotating to match the season. “I usually try to keep three savory and one sweet so people can get a taste before committing to a full loaf,” she said.
A recent flight included:
- Original Sourdough
- Everything-But-the-Bagel
- French Onion
- Pumpkin Swirl
The French Onion loaf, she said, is a standout and one that sells out quickly.
Baking by Accident
Alcaidinho’s journey into baking wasn’t sparked by childhood memories or culinary training. It began with TikTok.
“Honestly, I hated baking,” she admitted with a laugh. “I went down the TikTok sourdough rabbit hole one night and thought, ‘Hey, I can do that.’ Next thing I knew, I had flour and water all over the kitchen.”
Now, everything from her pumpkin bread to apple cider donut loaves is made with her signature sourdough starter.
How to Order
Customers can find Divine Dough Bakery on Facebook and Instagram, where Alcaidinho posts new menu drops and pre-order links through Simply Bread. Orders can be paid for online or upon pickup from her porch stand at 322 Russells Mills Road in Dartmouth.
What’s Next
While she’s keeping future plans under wraps, Alcaidinho teased that more is coming soon. “We’re moving toward 3Gen first,” she said cryptically. “Let’s just say things are growing, quite literally.”
When asked her personal favorite, Alcaidinho didn’t hesitate. “I really love the olive loaf,” she said. “But that French onion, that’s been my favorite lately.”
