DARTMOUTH — Dartmouth police have identified the suspect in a road rage incident that was caught on video Monday morning.

The department posted a message and a video of the incident to Facebook just before 10 a.m. yesterday, asking for the public's help in identifying the man in the video.

In the video, which has no sound, the man can be seen apparently shouting at a driver before he throws a punch that breaks the driver's side window.

Just 20 minutes later, the department posted again, letting their followers know that the suspect had been identified.

However, the man was not named, and department spokesperson Det. Kyle Costa said his name will not be released to the public.

Costa said the man is in communication with the officer investigating the incident, and will likely be summoned for a hearing.
