UPDATE: The Bristol County District Attorney's Office said no charges are expected in the crash.

DARTMOUTH (WBSM) — Authorities are investigating after an 18-year-old was killed in a motor vehicle crash in Dartmouth Sunday night.

According to Dartmouth Police, officers responded to the area of 234 Russells Mills Road at about 9:27 p.m. on June 15 for a single-vehicle crash with reported injuries.

Officers arrived to find a male unresponsive in the roadway near a damaged 2003 Hyundai Sonata. The vehicle had apparently crashed into a utility pole and the victim was pinned between the car and the pole, according to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office.

Police said the male – identified as Nikoles Joseph, 18, of Dartmouth – was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by Dartmouth Police and Massachusetts State Police.
