According to a recent press release from Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust, the organization is hosting a greeting card photo contest for the very first time.

“While DNRT has previously offered a calendar contest, this year’s challenge will be a little bit different. Twelve winning photographs will be chosen to adorn the faces of a set of greeting cards, which DNRT will sell. The cards will be published in September of 2020. Proceeds from the sale will benefit land conservation.”

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Submit up to eight photos to DNRT by Sunday, August 16, 2020. “Photographs must be taken on or of a DNRT property and can feature agricultural lands, forests, lakes and rivers, coastal dunes, salt marshes, recreation trails, historic sites, wildlife, and people enjoying or using the land. Images from all seasons are welcome.”
  2. Email your high-resolution photographs to Kendra Murray, the Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust Development & Outreach Specialist. Her email address is kendra@dnrt.org. Make sure your subject line reads “DNRT Photo Contest.” You can also include your name in the subject.
  3. The body of the email must include “the photographer’s name, address, phone number, where the photos were taken, and any comments the entrant would like to share about the photo. The entrant must be the sole author and owner of the copyright in all photos entered.  Although photographers retain complete copyright over their image, they grant DNRT a royalty-free right to use, display, and reproduce the image for purposes of publication in all media.”
