Last night in Florida, the Dartmouth Indians JV Pop Warner Cheer Team made history by becoming national champions for the first time in its history at the YCADA Nationals, solidifying its place among the top teams in the country.

The team’s performance was nothing short of spectacular, showcasing months of rigorous practice, dedication and a passion for excellence.

The team proudly features 10 talented girls ranging from sixth to eighth grade. Their innovative routines and precision wowed the judges, leaving no doubt that the Dartmouth Indians JV Cheer Team belonged on the top podium.

As the celebrations went on, coaches Sheena Sylvia, Katie Nicholson and “team mom” Kristin Beauparland expressed their immense pride and gratitude. 

“This team has shown resilience, heart, and an unbreakable bond. This national first-place win is really putting Dartmouth on the map. We have loved watching the growth in these girls throughout the years."

“This season hasn't been easy. A lot of fighting for all the teams to get what they deserve. These girls came and represented Dartmouth on the mat. Coming to Nationals and taken first place has made it all worth it," said DYFL VP Kayla Nunes.

Special thanks go to the DYFL board members for their invaluable contributions and endless support. They also extended a heartfelt shoutout to these exceptional young athletes, who have now etched their names into Dartmouth’s history at the national level.
