Fans of The Bucket at Apponagansett Park in Dartmouth will be excited to hear the news that a new food truck will be feeding Round Hill beachgoers this summer.

Normally, the food truck at Round Hill is put out to bid from outside vendors. This year, however, the Town of Dartmouth is keeping it in-house. The Bucket will have an auxiliary station right next to the bathhouse. Dartmouth Parks and Recreation has purchased a brand-new food truck. It is so new that it’s still in the process of getting logos placed on it.

The Bucket Food Truck Will Serve Up Summer Favorites

If you want to get technical, The Bucket's food truck is actually a trailer. According to Dartmouth Recreation Coordinator Becky Amaral, the food truck will offer a faster, simplified version of The Bucket's regular menu. Customers can enjoy some of the most popular items, including burgers, hot dogs, fries, wraps and chicken tenders.

While there won’t be scooped ice cream available on-site, there will be a variety of pre-packaged frozen treats to help cool off beachgoers on hot days.

When and Where to Find The Bucket Food Truck

The Bucket Food Truck will make its debut on June 14, the same day Round Hill Beach officially opens for the summer season. It will operate daily from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., although hours may be adjusted depending on demand.

Meanwhile, the main Bucket location at Apponagansett Park will open for the season on Memorial Day Weekend and run through Labor Day Weekend.

Dartmouth Is Hiring for Summer Positions

The Town of Dartmouth is currently hiring staff for both the Bucket and the Bucket Food Truck. Interviews for the seasonal positions will be held next week, offering a great summer job opportunity for locals looking for a water view from the office.
