A Cranston High School student has cut through the social media clutter with a song that you can't get away from right now and we are so here for it.

He spells his name "JVKE" but you say it like "Jake." Back in Cranston, before his recent fame, he was known as Jake Lawson.

Honestly, with talent like his, we will call him whatever he wants us to call him.

You may have seen his viral TikToks and reels all over the internet -- mostly him showing many of the important influences in his life via his now viral hit song "Golden Hour."

You've probably heard it and had no idea who it was.

It just so happens JVKE comes from Cranston, Rhode Island. Many of the people he features in his reels are fellow Rhode Islanders.

JVKE went to Cranston High School West and Community College of Rhode Island where he studied music education. He eventually dropped out to make beats and hits.

An interesting little fact about JVKE: His favorite hometown restaurant is Wein-O-Rama on Oaklawn Avenue in Cranston.

JVKE signed a record deal with In2une Music just a few months ago and has been on the road promoting his song across the globe. We are working on getting him to come see us once he gets back to the area.

Regardless, listen to Fun 107 to hear his amazing self-made song. That's right -- no help from major record labels to create this one and it's a smash.

20 Stars Who Hail From Rhode Island

Rhode Island may be the smallest state in the nation, but it has been home to many celebrities. Though some have moved here, filmed here or attended school here, only a handful were actually born here. These are those celebrities.
