The American Correctional Association gives the Dartmouth Correctional Complex a perfect score.

Jonathan Darling, Public Information Officer for the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office, announced on Friday that the complex earned a perfect score on all aspects of facility operations, including security, health services, life safety, food services, inmate discipline, programs and services, staff training and administrative operations.

The three-day audit included reviewing documents, revising policies, updating inmate materials and verifying statistical data.

Darling says the Sheriff’s Office spent about 10 months preparing for the audit and the accreditation team worked on prepping staff for possible interviews and completing necessary physical plant projects to satisfy ACA’s high “quality of life” standards.

The Dartmouth Correctional Complex is one of about 500 correctional organizations nationwide that have achieved ACA accreditation.
