Experience Fall River’s Copicut Trail During Free Family Nature Walk Event
The Trustees want you to get outside while the warm weather is still here.
On Saturday, August 31st, the Trustees Mobile Adventures will guide a free family-friendly walk starting at the new Accessible Discovery Trail at Copicut Woods in Fall River.
It’s the perfect way to get the family together and see the city from a new perspective.
What Is The Trustees of Reservations?
Trustees is an organization that works to protect roughly 47,000 acres all over Massachusetts.
“For more than a century, The Trustees has been on the ground in communities across Massachusetts, working to protect special places, providing loving care of our reservations, building creative new programs to engage people, and sharing our expertise with neighbors and partners across the state,” said the organization.
Last month, The Trustees celebrated the opening of an accessible Discovery Trail at Copicut Woods in Fall River. The roughly 1,850-foot-long trail is wheelchair and stroller accessible with five “curious finds” stations that encourage children to play in the nature around them.
“The Discovery Trail at Copicut Woods is a great addition to the outdoor recreation opportunities in Fall River, especially for young families and people with disabilities,” said Fall River Mayor Paul Coogan. “The trail provides a great way to connect young children with the outdoors, and we appreciate The Trustees and their state partners for making this possible.”
