The Most Interesting House in New Bedford Is for Sale
It might be the most interesting house in all of New England, and it is on the market right here in New Bedford.
There kind of are no words to describe this home on 219 Jarry St in New Bedford.
It is part museum, part-time capsule and all interesting.
I'm not sure if you'd want to change everything if you bought it – or absolutely nothing.
Coastal Realty calls their listing a "One-of-a-Kind Must See," and they aren't kidding.
From the street, it looks like a normal ranch home.
But from the back yard, you start to see the retro style right away.
And then you get into the house and you lose track of time completely.
This house could be from the '60s with its mod style and vintage electronics (check out the built-in stereo on the back wall)
Or it could be from the '50s with this basement sockhop-style room.
Then again, you could go much further back with some of the decor, like this phonograph.
Or the furniture.
But clearly the selling point on this house is the indoor pool.
This room is amazing. It looks like the Playboy Mansion grotto, but bigger.
I mean the pool has a fountain. What?!?
The space is sweet despite the possible complete makeover to the rest of the house (at least the kitchen, right?).
Though if you are a big Liberace fan, the pianos, chandeliers, and candelabras make this place perfect.
Still I'd at least want to take the pictures off the walls, for fear that they'd be watching me.
The asking price for this unique ranch is $595,000 and it comes with a laundry list of amenities, including an indoor grill, which I didn't even know was a thing.
Oh, and did I mention there's a statue in the shower?
