Come to ‘The Picnic’ In New Bedford
Make sure to make your way to "The Picnic", a one of a kind event in New Bedford on Thursday August 17th.
This is an event in support of gardens and art from the city. Enjoy the sites around the Allen C. Haskell public gardens area in downtown New Bedford.
Enjoy fresh oysters from Cuttyhunk Oysters, specialty foods will by Sid Wainer & Son, and sweet baked goods by The Baker of New Bedford. The local bluegrass band; Slow Boat Home will be playing at the event. Tours will be provided by the park so you can check out the beauty and nature all around you.
All proceeds of the event will be benefitting the AHA! New Bedford program and the Haskell public gardens. This is a great way to end the summer, a few weeks before the kids go back to school. You can get tickets here.
