Rhode Island companies are teaming up to turn its state beverage into a frozen dessert.

According to WPRI 12, Warwick Ice Cream ran its first production of its new Autocrat coffee milk ice cream.

The official drink of Rhode Island is coffee milk and coffee flavored ice cream is another way to add to increase the desserts popularity.

For the past 85 years, Warwick Ice Cream has been serving Rhode Island.  Those who work at the ice cream company are constantly discussing new flavors to add to their menu.

“The coffee milk ice cream is mixed in a flavor vat, turned into a soft serve consistency, and eventually fed through a rotary pint-filler, which tackles 40 pints per minute. Then it is sealed, packaged, and sent to the freezer.”

Thomas Bucci of Warwick Ice Cream stated that the coffee milk ice cream flavor has been in the creation process since last year.

The ice cream will be available starting this week at Dave’s Marketplace in Rhode Island.
