A new season of football is starting soon and there's a new local beer to go with it.

Perfect for your Patriots viewing parties, Nantucket's Cisco Brewers has launched the Forever New England Gameday IPA.

The Nantucket-born brewery and the New England Patriots are collaborating thanks to the longstanding partnership between the Patriots and Anheuser-Busch. Cisco Brewers joined the Anheuser-Busch Brewers Collective in 2020, making this year's tasty new IPA possible.

It does sound super-tasty too. A slightly hazy IPA brewed with Amarillo and Galaxy hops, it contains 5.4% alcohol by volume and has a cool can featuring the old-school Patriots logo with Pat the Patriot down for the huddle. It sounds perfect for all the home games when the team sports the throwback uniforms this season.

It's not just at Gillette Stadium that fans get to try the Forever New England Gameday IPA.

We spoke with the staff at Cisco Kitchen + Bar in New Bedford and learned the new brew is already in-house.

Inside the restaurant, SouthCoast Patriots fans can watch the games on the bar's six TVs while enjoying cans of the new IPA at their tables. Plus, outside in the beer garden, the Forever New England Gameday IPA is also on draft and will be poured from custom tap handles made by New Hampshire-based Green Mountain Taps.

Keeping it all in the New England family.

While the beer garden doesn't have any TVs just yet, when football season starts, the screens will arrive to take outdoor gameday watching to the next level.

Cisco Brewers says the IPA will also be sold in 16-ounce can four-packs and 12-ounce can 12-packs throughout New England to enjoy wherever you happen to watch that week's game.

So, cheers Pats fans!
