Chargers Cornerback Being Held in Dartmouth Jail
DARTMOUTH — Former Patriots player and current Chargers cornerback J.C. Jackson is being held at the Bristol County House of Corrections in Dartmouth, a sheriff's office spokesman has confirmed.
Bristol County Sheriff's Office spokesman Jonathan Darling said Jackson is currently being held at the Dartmouth jail "for a non violent family issue."
Jackson arrived at the jail on Monday afternoon, Darling stated.
The cornerback reportedly appeared in Fall River Probate Court before he was booked and placed in the Bristol County House of Corrections.
Fall River police spokesman Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira said the city department has "no records" of charges against Jackson.
Pereira added that if Jackson were arrested at Probate Court, the sheriff's office — not Fall River police — would have transferred him to the jail.
The Bristol County Probate Court did not immediately respond to a request for more information.
Jackson first signed with the Patriots in 2018, helping the team claim the Super Bowl LIII title.
He signed with the Los Angeles Chargers in March 2022 but was declared out for the season due to an injury in late October.
This is a developing story, and more details will be added as further information becomes available.
