Cape Cod Film Will Be Featured in a Film Festival This Week
Everyone feels their family probably has the kind of drama that would make a good film plot, but this film coming out of Cape Cod is a family drama with which far too many of us are familiar.
Anyone can relate to the loss of a loved one. I don't think it's a stretch to see why this film made it to the Monmouth Film Festival in New Jersey.
The festival is still happening this week, as they are doing it all virtually. People all over the world will be able to "attend" and see this film that was shot on Cape Cod.
The film is called Give or Take and surrounds the death of a man's father and the struggle to compromise with his father's boyfriend. If you have lost a loved one, you may have experienced something similar, although this story is a bit more extra than most. You can get a good idea of what the film is about by watching the trailer:
Give or Take (Press Trailer) from Paul Riccio on Vimeo.
I can relate to just the trailer of this film on so many levels. I'm adding it to my must-watch list for when it is released for home viewing following the festival circuit. I was trying to see if I could recognize any of the neighborhoods in the trailer as most of this was filmed just blocks away from Nauset Beach.
How many of you can relate to the plot of this movie? It's hitting pretty close to home for me, literally.
