Meet Huntah and Duke, the Newest K9 Officers in Bristol County
It's only been hours since the Bristol County Sheriff's Office introduced its newest members, but these four-legged furballs have already stolen our hearts.
Meet Huntah and Duke. They may not look like siblings, but they actually have the same father and were born just two weeks apart. The pair recently arrived in Bristol County to pair up with local officers and become part of the Sheriff's Office's K9 team.
Huntah, fittingly pronounced like Hunter with a Massachusetts accent, is a female black lab and will be partnered with Captain Paul Douglas. Duke is a male lab and retriever mix who will be partnered with Officer Theodore Santos, one of the newest members of the unit.
The Sheriff's Office posted an adorable series of photos of the pair interacting with their new unit on Facebook on Friday, and it certainly seems like these pups like to give kisses... like a lot of them!
The office also sent its gratitude to Dr. David and Jane Askew from Dartmouth, whose donations made it possible to bring Huntah and Duke to Bristol County, and hinted that they will have exciting news to share about the dogs "in the weeks ahead."
Huntah and Duke, along with Captain Douglas and Officer Santos, begin training next week and we wish them the best of luck!
