Can you believe that Manny is still being Manny at 52 years old?

Can you comprehend Manny Ramirez is 52 years old?

You haven't seen him pop out of a left-field wall in a while, but it's not that he wouldn't like to. In April, Ramirez told sports podcaster Rob Bradford, "I told you I'm not trying to retire."

"I need 400 hits for 3,000. I need to come back," he said.

Ramirez, who spent seven years with the Cleveland Indians before shipping up to Boston for seven more, hasn't played in a Major League Baseball game since 2011.

The Bleacher Report says, "Ramirez has 2,574 career hits, so it's understandable that the 3,000-hit club remains on his mind." But the publication says, "The last time he recorded over 100 hits in a season was 2009, so he would have a long way to go if he wanted to pursue his goal."

Ramirez still hopes to find his way into the National Baseball Hall of Fame despite his use of performance-enhancing drugs while a player.

Manny's name has appeared on the Hall of Fame ballot since 2017, receiving 33.2 percent of the vote in 2023, his highest ever.

Manuel Aristides Ramirez Onelcida was born May 30, 1972, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He moved to New York City in 1985 and rooted for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Ramirez played for Cleveland from 1993 to 2000 and in Boston from 2001 to 2008. Ramirez played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago White Sox and Tampa Bay Rays. He also played late career ball for Japanese, Dominican and Chinese clubs and spent some time with minor-league baseball clubs in the U.S.

Manny Ramirez is a member of the Indians Hall of Fame and the Red Sox Hall of Fame. CelebrityNetWorth.com says Ramirez is still worth a cool $90 million.
