Boston Police: Medical Attention Needed For Over 80 At Avicii Show

Avicii's US tour opened at the TD Garden last night and the Boston Globe is reporting that over 80 concertgoers needed medical attention due to alcohol and drug related causes.

Incidents like this are not uncommon at EDM shows across the country. For some reason these types of shows attract the overuse of drugs. Last August, there was a fatal overdose at the Zedd show in Boston. Luckily, none of the people at last night's concert were seriously injured.

Fifty concertgoers from the ages of 16 to 25 were treated at the scene, and 38 were transported to local area hospitals. Boston Police say most of these people showed up to the show already intoxicated, but as the show went on their conditions progressively got worse.
