NEW BEDFORD - A Boston man is arrested after police find him in a New Bedford cemetery.

New Bedford Police observed a car parked in Rural Cemetery before 4:30 a.m. on Monday. Police approached the vehicle and questioned the driver. Police determined that the lone occupant of the vehicle was not in possession of a license, and the car was not registered in his name. The man also had an open bottle of alcohol in the vehicle.

Police arrested the man, James Earl Clifton Rankins, 23, of Dorchester. Rankins is charged with illegally attaching plates, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, possession of an open container of alcohol, and trespassing.
