This Sunday you can team up with the Boston Bruins and the American Red Cross for a special blood drive event at TD Garden.

Blood donations are in dire need during the winter months, so to help the American Red Cross combat this urgent need, the Boston Bruins are having a special blood drive at the BFit First Responder Challenge this Sunday.

First responders from all over Massachusetts will be at TD Garden to compete in a unique indoor obstacle course.

The goal is to raise money for The Hundred Club Inc, a charity that supports the families of police officers and firefighters who are killed in the line of duty.

But during the challenge a blood drive will be held as well.

From 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. donors are asked to show their support for the first responders by donating blood during the Red Cross' winter blood shortage.

Not only will you know that you are helping those who may ultimately need your blood and platelets to survive, you'll also receive a $5 Dunkin Donuts gift card, free parking in the TD Garden garage and be entered to win Bruins memorabilia just for donating!

You can learn more about the event and how to donate once you're there by visiting redcrossblood.org.
