Meet the MA Native on the Upcoming Season of ‘The Bachelorette’

When it comes to the whole 'Bachelor' franchise, I'm not ashamed to say I'm hooked. I've been watching alongside my mom since about 2009, when Jason Mesnick was the Bachelor, and I've watched every episode since.

I personally loved Katie Thurston on Matt's season, not only because she's from the Seattle area like myself, but also because she had a sense of humor and wasn't afraid to stand up to some bullies. Now that she has a whole season of her own dedicated to helping her find love, I was, naturally, very excited to see the men who will be vying for her heart.

The franchise released its final cast list, accompanied by photos and fun facts about the guys, Tuesday morning, and while scrolling through the hopefuls, I came across one of our own.

Christian Smith is a Bay Stater through and through, and like all of us, he has his quirks. Here's everything we know about our 27-year-old Massachusetts man from the upcoming season of 'The Bachelorette.'

He's a real estate agent.

According to his LinkedIn page, Christian has been an agent with Keller Williams Realty in Newburyport since 2018. His Instagram bio tells us that he's not only a real estate agent and investor, but also an "uncertified life coach" and "professional optimist." That's the kind of positive energy we need going into this season. We're off to a great start, Christian!

He's a BIG parade guy.

You might be thinking... "Okay? Who in their right mind likes parades?" That's exactly what the folks on Jimmy Kimmel Live! were thinking when they went through a first look of Katie's guys last night. But hold on. His love of parades actually make sense given that he's from the Boston area, where there's been quite a few victory parades for Boston-area sports teams. I mean, who doesn't love a victory parade after your team takes home the trophy?

He has a sense of humor.

After getting roasted by Kimmel and his pals, Christian took his first appearance with the Bachelor franchise in stride, even making a joke on his Instagram about attending a parade with the late night host.

His hair game has always been 10/10.

Like many men now in their 20s, Christian admits he "rocked a fauxhawk in younger days." The question is... when were those "younger days?" Are we talking 10 or 23 because there's a big difference. We need answers (and pictures).

He has big dreams.

Christian "dreams of driving the Batmobile." Yes, seriously. But who would blame the guy? You know you'd take the opportunity, too, if it was presented.
