Thirteen-year-old Lilly Toxavidas is from Attleboro. She was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in November of 2017. For the past year and a half, Lilly has gone through chemotherapy. Even with chemotherapy, Lilly and her family received some tough news.

On May 23, Lilly was diagnosed with a second type of cancer which makes it imperative that she undergoes a bone marrow transplant, and her doctors are currently searching for a match. You could be that match.

A Be The Match Swab and Registration Event is scheduled for this Wednesday, June 19. If you are interested in seeing if you might be able to help this little girl out, we urge you to attend the event.

You can learn more about how you can help save children like Lilly who are fighting for their life. To join the registry, you must be between the ages of 18-44, be in good health, and be undoubtedly committed to donating to any person in need.

All you need to do is show up at American Legion Post 312, located at 437 Newport Avenue in South Attleboro between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. The cheek swab and registration will take you less than 20 minutes. For only 20 minutes out of your day, you could be making strides to save lives.
