
Armed Robbery Reported at New Bedford Convenience Store
NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford Police are investigating the reported armed robbery of a West End convenience store.
Police responded to the Payless Convenience Store at 274 Cedar Street just before 10 p.m. Monday for a report of a robbery. Witnesses told police that a male suspect entered the store, displayed what appeared to be a firearm, and demanded cash.
The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No injuries were reported.
Police did not provide a description of the suspect.
