Accident Causes Power Outage

Tiverton, R.I. Police say the power outage that took place Friday afternoon was caused by a motor vehicle accident on Eagleville Rd.

The accident was reported sometime before 4 p.m.

National Grid reported almost 1,400 outages at one point.

The outage also impacted some customers in nearby Fall River.

There was no word on injuries or the extent of damage at this time.
