A Reorganization at Mercy Meals and More [TOWNSQUARE SUNDAY]
Mercy Meals and More has been a mainstay in Downtown New Bedford, providing breakfast to the homeless and other services for more than 10 years.
Recently its leadership team went through a reorganization, which observers feel will help create more awareness about what this non-profit agency does in the community.
I spoke with Program Director David Motta and Secretary/Treasurer Chad Freitas about the history of Mercy Meals and More, the services it provides, and the cadre of volunteers who spend time there, helping the homeless.

Townsquare Sunday is a weekly public affairs program that highlights organizations and individuals that are working to make Greater New Bedford a better place to live and work. The program airs Sunday morning at 6 a.m. on 1420 WBSM.
