40 Picturesque Reasons to Never Want to Leave Westport
The older that I get, the more I fall in love with Westport, Massachusetts. There's just something about a summer drive down a back road or skipping rocks down by Allen's Pond to bring back the nostalgia of the more simple days.
From the grape vines of Westport Vineyards to the vast meadows and farm lands, local photographer Shara Grant, a Westport native, has a knack of capturing the true beauty and essence of the small cow-populated farm town.
"I've always loved art and creating something different," Grant said. "I played around with an old camera (no film) we had at home when I was younger, I loved looking through that viewfinder and when I got to high school I finally used it with film for class."
Westport is as photogenic as it gets and Grant is always looking for the right opportunity to capture how beautiful and laid back it truly can be.
"The whole process was super cool and it was like a little lightbulb went off inside me," Grant said. "I constantly look around and see so much more. I am blessed to live in a town that is full of beauty and I enjoy getting out in the fresh air, chasing down sunsets, hiking out to the end of the island to catch a storm roll by or sitting still on my porch taking hummingbird photos."
It's more than an art for Grant; her photography is a gift and she has an eye for captivating what this town is all about. These are her photos:
