14-Year-Old Acushnet Youth Overdoses on Oxycodone

As an Acushnet mom, this is a sad realization that a 14-year-old child could overdose on this drug in my little town...

EMT's treated this child along with one other non-fatal overdose in Acushnet the other night between the hours of 6-11 p.m.  The other was a 65-year-old woman.

There 3 overdoses in New Bedford from either heroin or prescription drugs in just one day this week.

The 14-year-old's name, sex and residence have not been released for fear of privacy.

Just this week alone, there were 5 non-fatal overdoses in just Acushnet and New Bedford. Other non-fatal overdoses in the New Bedford area this week happened in Freetown and Dartmouth.
