Wait...What the heck happened to the Viking?!

As I was leaving the Max's-Gumbo's plaza after a delicious lunch at my favorite burger joint, I pulled up to the red light on Summit Ave in Dartmouth, when the unexpected happened.

The Viking was GONE...or so it appeared.

I pulled over to the side of the road to get a closer look, to verify what my eyes had originally perceived, just to find out I was wrong.

It just so happened to be hidden behind overgrown brush and trees, slowly decaying from the weather. I remember the very first time I stopped by that Dartmouth residence to find out more information on the giant Norwegian. Two years ago, on January 28, 2016, I discovered the origin of the artwork and the answers to all the questions I always wondered.

Afterall, the Viking is a hidden gem in the Dartmouth community... both figuratively and physically.

I'm not sure if the owner still lives at that residence, but I'd love to know if it's possible to free up those branches. Heck, I'd even volunteer to trim the bushes and shear down the overgrowth, just so passersby can once again get a glimpse of a Dartmouth staple that has surpassed the wrath of hurricanes and the heavy burden of New England winters.
