He is entered in the 6:30pm race where he'll compete in the 110-meter high hurdles with his personal best time at 14:26, making him the 13th fastest in the nation this season.

Impressive!

Dixon will need to finish in the top 8 if he is to continue competing this Saturday.

Not only is Dixon a star on the field, but he also shines at his academics. At NBHS, he was an all-around student athlete and role model to this fellow students. "At New Bedford High, we've had talented athletes that didn't have that work ethic, but he had both. He's a complete student-athlete," says his New Bedford High track coach, Isaiah Houtman

Dixon competed last year in the NCAA Indoor Championships last March where he placed 11th in the 60-meter high hurdles.

Determined to make it to Saturday's finals and reaching an All-American status, like he did in high school, Dixon is determined to break 14 seconds.

"I just need to run clean. I only have to beat myself. I feel like if i run my best, I think I can get in (the finals)," says Dixon.
