The popular Fall River Farmers and Artisans Market is gearing up for another season in a brand-new location.

For the past two years, the market took over downtown -- mainly Old Second Street behind the Academy Building -- with dozens of local vendors offering unique gifts and local flavor.

As we get into the warmer months, stepping outside and enjoying the market is something many look forward to. Let's face it, we could all probably use some shopping therapy, too.

I can usually find some stuff I need at a place like this and it feels good to support the community.

Let's not forget this is food truck heaven, too.

In 2024, the market is relocating. Don't worry. It's not going too far. Starting on Sunday, May 26, and every other Sunday throughout the summer you can visit the market at the Fall River Pigeon Club, 870 Meridan St.

This is the market's third season and it's only grown in size so this location will better accommodate shoppers and vendors.

"We decided to change the location because it was tough for some to park downtown and our new location offers plenty of parking, along with shade, grass and more room to branch out and grow," market manager and co-founder Stephanie Enloe said.

The market is another sure sign that the warmer weather is coming and I can't wait to get out and enjoy this market.
