SouthCoast Marketplace Expansion Is Finalized
According to the Fall River Development News, the former Harbor Mall and now the SouthCoast Marketplace, has finally confirmed 11 new stores for their mall. The redesigned outdoor mall includes a central plaza with dining and entertainment venues surrounding it.
Not only are Fall River residents and folks from the surrounding towns excited about the new SouthCoast Market, the project has received strong support from Fall River’s mayor, City Council, and Office of Economic Development.
In addition to hundreds of construction jobs, the project when completed will employ close to 1,000 people. Fingers crossed, completion will be this summer!
Market Basket is building a new store scheduled to open later this summer.
The T.J. Maxx on 83 Mariano Bishop Boulevard will relocate to the SouthCoast Marketplace.
PetSmart is opening a new 22,000 square foot retail store. They offer services and supplies for pets, such as grooming, training, and daycare. They also have a variety of pets for sale, from birds to fish to guinea pigs.
The new location for Grill 110 is set to open in winter of 2017. The menu includes pasta, sandwiches, salads, seafood, and more.
Qdoba Mexican Grill will run a cafe with available outdoor seating on the SouthCoast Marketplace central plaza. The restaurant also does catering.

The Picture Show will be opening an 11-screen movie theater and offering the latest theater technology including reserved seating, reclining chairs, quality food, a soda machine, and even a bar!
ULTA will be opening a new location in the SouthCoast Marketplace. They supply cosmetic products, perfume, skin, and hair products.
One Dollar Zone is a family-owned business where everything is one dollar. They carry about 10,000 items needed for everyday use.
Starbucks will be opening a new drive-thru. It is also Fall River's first Starbucks.
