DARTMOUTH — The search for a Dartmouth teenager who was missing for nearly a week is over, according to an update from Dartmouth police early this morning.

Police said 17-year-old Asa Gonsalves has been found safe in Pennsylvania and is reunited with his family.

Gonsalves had been missing since around 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 29.

Police thanked everyone involved in the "collective and impressive effort" to find the teen.

They recognized Dartmouth Police Detective Sean McGuire and Crime Analyst Keri Lebeau along with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, law enforcement and public partners in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts, and all those who shared Gonsalves' information.
