It is being called one of the most highly anticipated bar openings of 2015 by Details magazine and it will be right in our own backyard.

Niche bars are still all the rage and finding some of the best that are yet to come was what Details magazine recently did. They've found bars across the country that they're already raving about and a new South Dartmouth watering hole made their list.

The place is the Beach Plum Cafe at 6 Bridge St. Already known for their coffee and baked goods, the owners got their liquor license last spring and have been planning to open a main restaurant for a while now.

One of the features of the restaurant will apparently be the bar. Described in Details' article as,

Manhattan comes to Massachusetts as consultant Jonathan Pogash (Empire Room) is creating the beverage program in the seaside harbor of Padanaram Village ("think: the creek from Dawson's Creek," Pogash says). Scandinavian accents inform both the indoor/outdoor beachy design as well as the cocktails (aquavit in the summers, Glogg in the winters). Drink ingredients will be sourced from the many local farms."

 Sounds intriguing!

Though details from the cafe's Facebook and website are few, the magazine's write up says they plan to open in February.
