It's been one month since I tied the knot. My spirits are high and my smile is wider these days.

My mind keeps racing back to Saturday, Oct. 21, reminiscing on the good times and the sweet memories. Not to mention the incredible food from On-The-Go Catering. My left hand is heavier thanks to the ring and my heart is full of love.

It's Thanksgiving and although I have so much to be thankful for, I'm beyond thankful for someone special: my wife.

I keep replaying in my head the moment I took my wife's hand, stared her in the eyes, and did my best to hold back the happy tears. These are my vows as written and shared on the big day:

To My Wife:
When it comes to words, I’ve naturally been able to muster up something clever or romantic. However, as I stand here in front of you, I find myself rather speechless, despite already having my vows written down. That’s the strength you have over me. The ability to gently hush my words, regardless of my thoughts.

However, please don’t mistake my silence for unenthusiastic devotion. I’m the happiest I’ve been in my life and it’s all thanks to you. Your patience is nothing less than angelic and your beauty is irresistible.

Lord knows I’m a lucky man.

You’re the first person I see when I awake, and the last as I close my eyes. I love everything about you and find myself continuously falling deeper in love with you with each passing day. From the very beginning when we both swiped right on Tinder to survive the chaotic crowds of Market Basket on a Sunday morning… there’s truly no person I’d rather “do life” with other than you.

You may be private and hidden on social media, but I will never keep you in the shadows of my love. In just a few moments, you will be my wife. You truly are the best thing to ever happen to me.

That being said, here are my vows to you:

-I promise to always kiss you goodnight and tell you how much I love you.

-When you’re feeling down and having a bad day, I know that Acushnet Creamery usually does the trick.

-As far as food goes, I always know when you’re “hangry," so I swear to always cook only the finest meals for you or take you out to our favorite restaurants.

-I promise to always use the large forks and spoons to save you the smaller ones.

-As we grow old together, I’ll never forget to take you on those relaxing backroad drives to your parent's house or perhaps a quick trip up north. As long as there’s a cabin in the middle of nowhere, I know we’ll be just fine.

-I swear to always protect you. No matter what.

-There will never be too many gas station flowers in our house, no matter where we live.

I could go on and on, but let me be clear when I say that I will LOVE YOU more than life itself. When times are tough, I’ll be your crutch. When you need a hug, I’ll hold you tightly.

And when you need a “snackie”, I’m always down to whip up something tasty… just for you.

I guess all I’m trying to say is- I love you with every enthusiastic beat of my heart today, tomorrow, and forever. I promise to be the man who will always support you until death do us part.
