Dartmouth’s 350th Anniversary Fireworks
This Sunday, June 8 at around nine o'clock Dartmouth will be celebrating their 350th anniversary with a reenactment of the incorporation and a fireworks display at Apponagansett Park. Loren, Larry and I will be there to get the event going and see the show ourselves. There will also be a "Brothers of the Bush" beard contest. The event is expected to have a large turn out so parking and space will be limited.
There is going to be a shuttle that will be going around to multiple locations to pick people up and drop them off at Apponagansett Park. The shuttle will make stops, starting at 2:00 p.m., at the following: Big Value Outlet, Southworth Library, Cushman School, DeMello School and Council on Aging. Handicapped Parking (Placard Required) will be available at the Dartmouth YMCA, starting at 4:30 p.m.
Also, the Dias Landing Parking Lot (the boat ramp area just over the Padanaram bridge) will close on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. and will stay closed through Sunday. Roads from Prospect and Elm Streets through Gulf Road to the YMCA will be close at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Finally there will be no tents/canopies or grilling allowed at the event. So, make sure your parking plans are figured out and come down to Apponagansett Park on Sunday night to enjoy a great fun-filled event with the Fun Morning Crew.
