Dartmouth Police Seek Public’s Help in Fatal Hit and Run
DARTMOUTH — Dartmouth Police and Massachusetts State Police are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run on State Road last Saturday night.
At approximately 7 p.m. Saturday, Dartmouth Police responded to the area of 653 State Road regarding a hit and run crash involving a female pedestrian. As a result, 33-year-old Stasha Lynn Faria of Westport was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of injuries she sustained during the crash. The suspect vehicle had fled the scene.
Dartmouth Police spokesman Detective Kyle Costa says in connection to both witness accounts and supporting evidence, they are asking the public to be on the lookout for gray minivan, possibly a Chevrolet Uplander, with front passenger side damage.
