It's been a tough financial year for many people on the SouthCoast.  The cost of virtually everything has skyrocketed, while most salaries haven't exactly kept pace.  This has made it harder to do things like buy groceries, gas up the car, heat our homes, and pay everyday bills.

For many young SouthCoast families, this has put them in a tough position trying to figure out how make Christmas happen for their children.  This has made the need for toy drives greater than for quite some time.

Enter the boys of summer.  The Dartmouth AAU baseball team will be spending their Saturday collecting toys for kids who otherwise might not have presents under the tree this Christmas.  It's a great opportunity for the kids to experience giving back.

If you are able to help out, the Dartmouth AAU baseball team is looking for new, unwrapped toys.  All of the toys collected at this toy drive will be presented directly to the Dartmouth Police Department to help build up their supply of toys that will be distributed to children who live right here on the SouthCoast.

The toy collection event will run from 10AM to 4PM at the Dartmouth Youth Athletic Association Complex at Crapo Field.  There will be an appearance from the one and only Santa Claus, cornhole, and 50/50 raffle and hot coffee and cocoa.

If you aren't able to make it to Dartmouth on Saturday for the toy drop off, Fun 107 begins Holiday Wish Week on Monday.  It will be another opportunity for you to help struggling families that live right here on the SouthCoast.
