NEW BEDFORD — Due to tonight's weather forecast leading to early dismissal of schools in New Bedford, Superintendent finalist Ana C. Riley's visit to New Bedford Public Schools has been rescheduled to Monday, March 26.

Riley, the current superintendent in Portsmouth, Rhode Island and the former superintendent of Dartmouth Public Schools, was supposed to visit schools in New Bedford today before being publicly interviewed by the School Committee in the Keith Middle School auditorium.

Fellow finalists Robert Gerardi and Heather Larkin were interviewed Monday and Tuesday, respectively, and Thomas Anderson will visit on Friday.

Public meet-and-greet events for NBPS families and city residents will be held with each candidate from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Keith Middle School Community Room, prior to the public interview at 6 p.m.

The School Committee is slated to vote to appoint the next superintendent during the week of March 26, with the final selection beginning work July 1.
