Get ready for the 9th annual New Bedford Seaport Chowder Festival. The chowder champ will be chosen this Sunday.

I am lucky enough to be one of the celebrity judges, but don't let the judges have all the fun. You can stop by and try all the entries for each delicious category. The event starts at 12 p.m. at Pier 3 on New Bedford's working waterfront.

You can go to the Downtown New Bedford website to buy tickets in advance or find the list of buying locations for $15 for adults and $5 for children 6-12. Tickets at the door are $18 and kids 5 or younger eat what they can for free.

You can taste more than clam chowder at New Beford's Chowder Fest. The categories include best clan chowder, best seafood chowder, best kale soup, best signature soup, best stuffed quahog, and best table presentation.
