Haley Smith's boyfriend proposed in July of 2015, being ecstatic she planned for engagement photos to be taken of the two of them. By the time she and her hubby-to-be got the photos in, she refused to post them or send them as "save the date's" because of her size.

Haley weighted in at 277 lbs. and the time of her engagement and by the time of her wedding? 168 lbs! Just over a year later, she had lost just over 100 lbs by ditching the junk and leaning towards fruits and veggies!

We found Haley's story on Independent, where she said "I hated how I looked in my proposal pictures. I saw the pictures and cried my eyes out - I didn't even recognize myself.... In college is when the real weight gain began. Just about anything could trigger me to eat. I was and still can be an emotional eater. I ate when I was sad, bored, stressed or happy and wanted to celebrate."

Lots of Americans identify with being emotional eaters, 33% to be exact according to the APA.  I just started following Haley on Instagram to see her journey and how far she has come, it really is an amazing story!  If you are engaged and want to lose weight and get fit not just for your wedding day but forever, set the goal and just do it!

Haley started working out 3 times a week which gradually turned into 5 times a week. Now she works out at least once a day, usually twice. If this doesn't give you the motivation to get off of your butt then I don't know what will!
