West Place Animal Sanctuary in Tiverton has been busy improving its oasis for rescued farm animals and will welcome families on September 23rd and 24th for its Fall Visitors Weekend.

"It's been an incredibly busy summer with two new construction projects and a complete renovation of our popular gift shop," said Patrick Cole, the Director of Development & Communications. "We can't wait to share our work with the community and introduce the new members of our farm family."

What Is West Place Animal Sanctuary in Tiverton?

West Place Animal Sanctuary answers the call when an animal is in need, providing refuge to farm animals, wildlife, and lost dogs. More than 15 species, from alpacas to golden pheasants, call West Place Animal Sanctuary home.

Furthering its commitment to the community, West Place Animal Sanctuary also offers educational opportunities to students seeking to make a difference for animals.

With its event coming up later this month, the sanctuary aims to raise funds that will allow the West Place to provide the necessary help these animals require.

What to Expect at Fall Visitors Weekend

Fall Visitors Weekend allows guests to enjoy an interactive and educational guided tour of the sanctuary, and meet the inspirational rescue animals who call West Place home.

Be among the first to meet the new arrivals and see the progress on the barn addition and the brand-new Chicken House. Plus, the Gift Shop has expanded and been reorganized to accommodate new handmade crafts and one-of-a-kind gift items.

This is the perfect excuse to hang out with the alpacas, horses, cows, pigs, donkeys, goats, and dozens of other rescued farm animals.

There is a calf that is only a few weeks old that can't wait to meet everyone.

"Tours last between 60 and 90 minutes, and you'll learn all about West Place's lifesaving work and ways to get involved," said the sanctuary.

Tickets must be purchased online in advance and the event will be held rain or shine.

Adults are $24, Children are $15, and all proceeds benefit the animals of West Place Animal Sanctuary. Learn more on the sanctuary's website.
