Just landed in Rhode Island and wanted to get an Uber to take you where you need to go? Not anymore.

Seems Uber's pick up services are no longer available at T.F. Green...as many passengers found out the hard way this week.

ABC6 reports that Tuesday was the first day that Uber's pick up at the RI airport stopped and some people only learned that when there were no cars available.

The Rhode Island Airport Corporation apparently charges drivers a $6 pick up fee and last week Uber announced that the cost was too high and they would no longer be picking passengers up there.

The airport has offered to cut the fee to $5, but Uber still refused and the negotiations are reportedly ongoing.

Taxi cabs and Lyft are still available to pick you up at the airport when you land. And I'm sure the news that Uber will no longer be pick up competition is fantastic for them.

According to ABC6 some passengers were more upset by the news than others. And most just used another service to get them where they needed to go.

For now though, if you planned to use Uber after landing at T.F. Green...think again. You can still use their service to drop you off at the departure gate, but pick up is not available for the present moment.
