Police are searching for the thieves who stole thousands of dollars worth of body armor from Plimouth Plantations recently.

According to the Patriot Ledger, three sets of reproduction body armor were taken from Plimoth Plantations last Tuesday.

The body armor includes breast and back plates along with a helmet and neck plate. One set also included upper thigh shields.

What the thieves might be planning on doing with the armor remains a mystery...as is how the theft may have happened.

The Ledger reports that security guards noticed no unusual activity on Tuesday night and there were no signs of forced entry from the homes inside Plimoth Plantation where the armor was taken from.

All of the armor sets are reproductions of the original English design and each weighs about 50 lbs. They are valued at $2,900.00 a piece.
