The Whaling City Festival WILL Go On

Were you going to miss the Whaling City Festival? Well We have some great news for you.

On the FUN Morning show, we received a call from Alan Richard, president of the Whaling City Festival speaking about the ongoing status of the Festival. Presuming the New Bedford Parks board grants final approval on Thursday night, the festival WILL happen this year on a trial basis. The festival will open from 11 AM until 9 PM provided that the WCF complies to the addition of more lighting and a larger police presence.

This would have been the first year in 42 years that a Whaling City Festival did not happen. Tradition continues for the City of New Bedford!
